Telehealth at Lumen Health
At Lumen Health, all consultations are offered through telehealth — secure video visits that allow you to connect with your physician from the comfort of your home.
What to Know
Who it’s for: Adults (18+) who are physically located in North Carolina at the time of their consultation.
What to expect: A private, secure video session with a licensed physician. You may share your health history, review lab results, and receive medical guidance.
Benefits: Convenience, access, and continuity of care without needing to travel.
Limitations:
Telehealth may not always be the same as in-person care, and sometimes technology doesn’t cooperate. You will not be billed in full for incomplete sessions due to technical issues.
Required intake forms must be completed and electronically signed before your appointment to allow your physician to create an accurate assessment and plan.
Telehealth is not for emergencies. If an emergency arises, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Controlled substances will not be prescribed.
Medicolegal evaluations (such as disability determinations, custody cases, or forensic assessments) are not provided.
Your Rights
You can stop or decline telehealth services at any time.
Your health information is protected under HIPAA. Learn more in our [Notice of Privacy Practices ].
Consent Requirement
North Carolina law requires that you provide informed consent before receiving telehealth services.
At Lumen Health, you will be asked to review, acknowledge, and attest to this consent during your intake process before your first appointment.
By booking, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for telehealth and agree to provide the required consent prior to your consultation.
Payment
Telehealth consultations are self-pay only and payment is due at booking.
Lumen Health does not bill insurance. A receipt is provided if requested for HSA/FSA use, though reimbursement is not guaranteed.
See our [Terms of Use ] for details on cancellations and refunds.
